This flour is produced from grinding quinoa seeds into a powder. Quinoa flour is rich in protein and nutrients, especially amino acids. It contains about 17% high-quality protein, which is more than any other grain flour. Quinoa flour is used in making breads, biscuits, cookies, crepes, muffins, pancakes, and tortillas. To try it in baked good recipes; you can replace up to 1/2 of the flour with quinoa flour. It is higher in fat than wheat flours such as all purpose or plain, so it will make your baked goods moister. Quinoa flour may also be used as a thickener in sauces, soups, and other dishes, especially in cases where additional protein might be viewed as beneficial.
