Unlike the other peppers in the aji family, the aji panca pepper is mild and
slightly smoky with an almost fruity flavor. Aji panca, like the other spicier
aji peppers, is grown in the valleys of the Andes Mountains. It is one of the
most common native Peruvian peppers and is frequently used in Latin American
cuisine. Our aji panca paste is made with pureed peppers, ready to use in
stews and seafood dishes or as a marinade for any type of meat. With its mild
flavor, aji panca paste is a wonderful base for a wide variety of recipes when
combined with sauted onions, garlic and herbs.
