Skilled craftsmen patiently finish the bed in the "Glacier Country" collection style for a truly unique and one-of-a-kind- look reminiscent of the Grand Lodges of the Rockies, circa 1900. We remove the outer bark while leaving the inner, cambium layer intact for contrast and texture. The finish is completed by an eight step, professional stain and lacquer process. Mortise and tenon joinery throughout. For safety reasons, the upper and lower bunks cannot be separated. Headroom between lower and upper bunks is approximately 44 inches. Headboard and footboard feature a built in ladder. Maximum mattress thickness for top bunk is 8" Careful assembly by hand ensures the bed will last a lifetime. Some assembly required.
