Puja Gulaal is a form of shakti. Applying Gulaal on the forehead is a symbol of Sanatan Hindhu culture and also of sacredness and auspiciousness. Puja Gulaal is made from pure & natural camphor resulting in ice cold mixture dark red in colour rich in iron content with a divine scent. The area in which the mark of the Gulaal is applied is between the eyebrows called the "Ajna Chakra". This is the point that sanatan Hindu Dharma consider the entry and exit point of our jivaatma (Soul). This ajna chakra area is area of concentration. it is also the area ehich gets heated during stress and tension. Applying the tilak has a cooling effect aids concentration and signifies our eternal link with the supreme being known as the brahman(absolute). The tilak is thus a blessing of the lord and a protection against wrong tendencies and forces.
