Also known as medu vada, this mix is for deep-fried fritters consisting of urad dal, cream of wheat, rice flour, chana dal and spices. These "lentil doughnuts" are crisp, reddish brown patties. You can also add onions, peppers, green chillies, ginger pieces and curry leaves for added flavor. They should be served with hot and sour sambhar, chutney and yogurt. Ingredients:-Black Gram Dal, Edible Vegetable Oil, Rice, Salt, Bengal Gram Dal, Raising Agent (Ins 500Ii), Acidity Regulator (Ins296), Asafoetida.
