A short fat rice grain used traditionally in South India to make "Idlis." This rice (soaked overnight) is combined with urad dal and fermented.
Five cups Rice combined with 1 cup Urad Dal Washed will yield approx. 80 idlies.

Idli rice is different from regular raw rice in texture and properties.
